Who We Are

FBCA Preschool is a nonprofit program owned and operated by First Baptist Church of Alexandria. Our half-day preschool serves children ages one to five from 10:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m., with optional extended care available.

Building a safe, secure, loving Christian environment
Supporting the whole child—social, intellectual, spiritual, emotional, and physical
Creating meaningful, developmentally appropriate play experiences that honor each child’s unique learning needs and interests

Educational Philosophy

We believe children learn best when they are free to explore within a structured, supportive environment. Teachers design lessons around children’s individual differences and learning styles, offering:

Large group learning
Small group instruction
Hands-on learning centers
Theme-based units of study

Children grow at their own pace while also learning age-appropriate concepts about God, Jesus, the Bible, family, nature, and community.

Every Child Will Have Opportunities to:

Character Development

Christian character is woven into everything we do. Teachers model and teach love, grace, mercy, and self-regulation, following the example of Jesus.

Predictable routines and intentional classroom management create a warm, family-like environment where children learn to relate well to others and grow in emotional confidence.
